Souria Lutfi - Mental Health & Wellness Advisor

Souria Lutfi provides professional insight and psychological guidance to the Love Unlocked Board of Directors. While her professional background as a School Psychologist includes assessment and student services, her role with Love Unlocked is advisory to help the organization design and maintain trauma-informed, emotionally supportive, and developmentally appropriate creative programs for foster youth, aged-out foster youth, and individuals from vulnerable backgrounds.

 

By serving as a Mental Health & Wellness Advisor, Souria helps Love Unlocked Board members strengthen the foundation of every workshop and outreach event, ensuring that Love Unlocked has programs that foster emotional growth, safety, and positive self-expression. Her Primary goal is to provide program guidance and oversight to review and advise on the emotional wellness components of the creative classes and community events that Love Unlocked provides. She offers feedback to Love Unlocked Board members to ensure activties are trauma-informed, inclusive and supportive. She helps Love Unlocked Board Members create safe and encouraging environments where participants can express themselves without emotional risk.

Souria participates in quarterly board meetings and strategic discussions to integrate mental health awareness into the outreach model for Love Unlocked. She advises the Love Unlocked Board members on how to build relationships with schools, counselors, and youth-serving organizations. She identifies referrals and outreach opportunities to connect students to creative programs implemented by Love Unlocked. Souria also assists in creating mental health related educational content, handouts, and social media awareness posts for Love Unlocked campaigns.
