Consuela FărcaÈ™ - Secretary

Consuela was born in communist Romania, where her early life was marked by hardship and loss. Under the oppressive conditions of the regime, her family endured unimaginable suffering, including the tragic loss of her grandmother, aunt, and cousin in a single night. Following the Romanian Revolution, her family immigrated to the United States, where they experienced the transformative power of community firsthand. A local community came together to remodel and fully furnish a home for them, donate a vehicle, help her parents secure employment, and welcome them into a local church. After several years in the United States, the community once again blessed her family who was able to open and operate a Residential Care for the Elderly (RCFE).

Growing up next door to her parents’ facility, Consuela was immersed in the eldercare industry from a young age. Over the years, she has served in a variety of capacities, including volunteer, caregiver, administrator, placement agency owner, and ultimately owner and operator of her own facility. Consuela raised her children alongside her work through homeschooling, reinforcing her strong belief in the value of intergenerational relationships, and the positive impact they have on both the young and the elderly.

In 2023, Consuela experienced a life-altering accident that resulted in spinal surgery, severe muscle damage, a month-long hospitalization, and two months in a wheelchair—all while navigating an ongoing divorce. After years of pouring into others, Consuela experienced the beauty of community coming full circle as family, friends, and neighbors rallied around her and her children during their time of need. This season reaffirmed her belief in the power of community and solidified her enduring passion: living with purpose by pouring into others.

She then spent the following year focusing on healing, rest, and recovery after decades of maintaining an intense and demanding schedule. Out of this season of restoration, Consuela went on to open RCFE Central, where she now supports and strengthens eldercare facilities through a wide range of services and resources. She also serves as Director of RCFE Cal Ed, a State of California–approved vendor and academy, where she provides administrator re-certification courses and contributes to raising standards of care across the industry. Consuela’s heart for service extends well beyond her work. She has served on multiple boards with diverse missions, including director for the Alzheimer’s Dementia Support Center, where she frequently volunteered alongside her children, managing office operations while they brought joy to seniors through games, arts and crafts, and meaningful connection.

She currently serves as the LEAD Coordinator for the Modesto Police Clergy Council, an invitation that followed her creation and hosting of the community’s first local Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD). Her children continue to participate as volunteers, reflecting her commitment to modeling service through action. Consuela also continues to serve on the board of Love Unlocked, continuing her passion for involving her children in meaningful outreach; from feeding the homeless and supporting fundraisers to bringing hope and joy to children and families in women’s and children’s shelters. She considers it a true blessing to serve on the Love Unlocked board alongside close friends who share her heart for community, compassion, and purposeful service.
